The founder of Gilvah, Gisa Ellis was fortunate to meet and interview Deepak Chopra, a bestselling author, global leader and pioneer in the field of mind-body medicine. Chopra transforms the way the world views physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social wellness.
Deepak Chopra states that the 5 components for change and the way for the future are;
- To Provide Information
- Create a Physical Space
- Bring people together/ Build a community
- Technology/ Cyber Space
Question. Gilvah is providing all those components for change and is building a community of like-minded people and helping people get a balance and wellbeing in their lives. What is the most important information can we provide to assist them on this journey?
Answer. To provide information that empowers people to find insight, intuition, and creativity and to awaken the archetypes. You can create a space for participation, spiritual practise and getting together and where life goals are aligned and passion is shared. Each of us is a unique strand in the intricate web of life and here to make a contribution.
Question. Our Gilvah community of women all have busy lives. What is the easiest way to implement the awareness that you talk about and great a balance and bring consciousness into practical, everyday life?
Answer. Everybody should probably take at least 15 minutes of quiet time to reflect on the day. Also, make sure you don’t do more than one thing at a time and do that thing well e.g. play time, down time, meditation time, family time, exercise time, e-mail time and communication time. If you try to do 5 things at once you are not doing anything well. Your conscious brain cannot multitask. If I’m speaking to you and checking my I-Phone at the same time, I’m doing neither. This is why our society is frazzled; this misconception that we can consciously do more than one thing at a time effectively.
Chopra also says that the 5 pillars of well-being that you require to create a balanced life and the 5 things that influence our genes are;
- Food (nutrition)
- Healthy Emotions
